AOC Whidbey Roost provides complimentary coffee, tea, fruit, bagels, and light snacks to our guests at the base theater each moring and during intermissions.
On-base, MWR offers the Officers Club, CPO Club, Kegler's Kafe, and Duffer's Deli. McDonalds, Subway Sandwiches, and Rice King are available in the Navy Exchange (NEX) complex.
Off-base, Oak Harbor offers a variety of restaurants and fast food. Favorites include Flyers (micro-brewhouse and restaraunt owned by a former Prowler CO); Arirang Gardens (Korean and Japanese); China City (between Best Western and Candlewood Suites hotels); Frank's Place (breakfast, burgers, sandwiches); Tokyo Stop; Zorba's (Greek & Italian); Kyoto (Japanese), El Cazador, Mi Pueblo, Frasiers (steakhouse), Applebee's, and others. There are also several large buffet-style resaurants in Oak Harbor.
Fast-food choices include Arby's, McDonalds x3, Burger King, Subway, Wendy's, 7/11, Taco Bell, Baskin-Robbins, Starbucks, Domino's Pizza, Papa John's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's Pizza, Jack in the Box, Dairy Queen, Quizno's Classic Subs, etc. Many of the larger grocery stores (Safeway, Albertsons, Marketplace) also offer deli and prepared carry-out selections. Coffee drinkers will find a kiosk or espresso stand just about every 37 yards or so....
MANY additional dining choices are available in nearby communites of Coupeville, Anacortes, Burlington, and LaConner.
